Saul J. Steinberg graduated from Rutgers College,
New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1970 with a degree in Art and from Rutgers
Law School, Camden, New Jersey in 1973. Saul began his legal career in 1973
as an assistant county prosecutor in Camden County, New Jersey, and remained
until 1976. During his tenure as an assistant prosecutor, Mr. Steinberg served
as a trial prosecutor, legal advisor to the police departments of Camden
County and conducted seminars for the County Police Academy.
In 1976, Saul entered private practice with his
brother, Isaiah Steinberg, who later became a Superior Court Judge in 1981.
Thereafter, Mr. Steinberg continued to practice in a partnership with Norman
L. Ginsberg.
In 1988, Mr. Steinberg was admitted to the Bar of
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in 1990, he received a Masters of Laws
Degree in taxation from Temple University. He is a member of the Bars of
the State of New Jersey and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is admitted
to practice in the United States District Court for the Districts of New
Jersey, Eastern and Pennsylvania, the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit
and the United States Supreme Court. He is also admitted to practice
before the United States Tax Court and the United States Court of Claims.
Mr. Steinberg has served on various committees by
appointment of the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the Camden County Bar
Association. These include the Criminal Practice Committee, the Personal
Injury Committee, the Bench Bar Partnership, the Judicial Selections Committee,
the New Jersey Model Criminal Charge Committee and the Ethics Committee.
He has also participated in numerous seminars for the Bar Association.
The emphasis of Saul's practice is in Criminal and
Civil Litigation. He has handled major criminal and civil cases and
has provided representation to other professionals including physicians,
lawyers and teachers.
